Movie Club

Every Saturday at 4 pm, movie fans gather to watch their favorite and new films - comedies, documentaries, classics, and cartoons. Peace Corps volunteers come to help them understand the film better and participate in after-movie discussion.

My English Club

Every last Thursday of the month, students of secondary schools of Pavlodar gather in the American Corner to improve their English, to share news, and to have fun. The meetings are mostly dedicated to holidays and events that take place in the United States. Students learn about history of the USA, its peoples, holidays, and significant events.

School Mr. Know-All

It is a special club for the little visitors of our American Corner - the pupils  of the boarding school for deaf children. These curious kids of 3-5 grades come to learn more about the world with their eyes and hands. The holidays they never knew about - Mothers' Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving Day - turned out to be their favorite ones. The AC coordinator, with the help of an interpreter, do the best to show all the fun that American children have on these days. The club is a part of a big project "Zhanashyr" of the Pavlodar Oblast Library that involves people with disabilities from the region.
